In the last few weeks, A/A artists have been commissioned by some of the most respected and widely read publications in Germany to contribute unique, engaging images.
On September 5th, A/A artist Uli Knörzer’s evocative illustrated work accompanied an article in the highly regarded weekly newspaper Die Zeit. Published alongside a piece examining the prevalence of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder diagnoses in young children, Uli’s work not only reached an estimated 2 million readers in Germany, but also was used on the cover of the Austrian and Swiss editions of the paper. Be sure to check out below some of the additional sketches and exploratory work Uli also prepared for the project.
A/A photographer Paul Kranzler contributed to a photo essay documenting the variety of flowers in bloom along European roadways and byways. Paul’s photo appeared in the August 30th issue of Sueddeutsche Zeitung Magazin, a supplement to Germany’s largest national subscription daily newspaper. For his part, Paul traveled about 15 kilometers northwest of Linz, Austria to photograph the natural beauty sustained by the iron-rich waters of Rodl-Waldbad. The final results confirm that truly the most beautiful bouquets aren’t to be found in floral shops.
