Artists at ART LOVE AFFAIR A/A consistently work at the interface of fine art, advertising, and publishing. Here are just some of the latest examples of their success:
Several illustrations by Chris Buzelli are featured in American Illustration 32, the leading hardcover, juried annual of work by illustrators, fine artists, and designers. Judged by a jury of respected art and design professionals, American Illustration is considered by creative professionals to be the “book of record” for today’s top image-makers. Chris’s work has been featured in numerous top magazines in the United States and it’s a distinct honor that six of his illustrations were selected from the thousands of submitted entries to be part of this year’s showcase.
Frank Herfort’s latest hardcover photography book, Imperial Pomp - Post-Soviet Highrise, is just out and available for purchase in the ART LOVE AFFAIR boutique. To mark the release, some of the 100 photographs published in the book are on display through May 17th at f75 Fotogalerie in Stuttgart, Germany. Frank’s images of the huge and colorful contemporary architecture in Russia and the former Soviet republics capture the unabashed grandeur of these projects. Whether it’s new housing or office buildings, Frank writes, “This architecture is a manifestation visible to all of the birth pains experienced in the countries that emerged after the fall of the Soviet Union.”
Finding the fleeting moment that separates wakefulness and dreaming is the theme of Jennifer Endom’s photographs for the digital magazine Let Them Eat Cake. The magazine’s featured story, “Remains of the Day,” focuses on hypersomnia, a condition marked by sleepiness during the day. Striking at unexpected times—during conversation, while eating, or at work—the condition is the thematic inspiration for Jennifer’s color-intense, detail-rich work bringing together fashion and fine art photography.
